The HEY SMOKE is a photoelectric smoke detector that uses optical sensing technology to detect slow-burning fires characterised by thick, black smoke and low heat — the type of fire that can smoulder for hours before producing visible flames. It does not contain any material hazardous to the environment.

In addition to its local 85 dB+ alarm and flashing LED, the device connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to send push notifications to the user's smartphone via the dedicated app. It can be installed in any room except the bathroom, and multiple units can be deployed to cover apartments or multi-storey houses. This detector does not replace a complete alarm system.
