Most PIR sensors have a time (TIME) dial that sets the on-duration after the last detected movement, usually from a few seconds to several minutes. A separate lux (LUX) dial sets the ambient light level at which the sensor activates.

False triggers are usually caused by heat sources, moving foliage, pets or reflective surfaces in the detection zone. Re-aim the sensor away from those sources, narrow the angle, or raise the mounting height. Keeping cabling tidy with quality Power & Cables also helps avoid interference.
