Cable Lugs – Crimp & Bolt Terminals for Power Connections
Cable lugs create the mechanical and electrical bridge between a stranded cable and a bolted connection point — whether that is a busbar, battery terminal, or distribution panel. At Lynk.gr we carry a carefully selected range of lugs covering a wide span of conductor sizes and hole diameters for professional and DIY power projects alike.
Crimp vs Mechanical Lugs
Crimp lugs are compressed onto the conductor with a crimping tool, forming a gas-tight joint that resists corrosion and vibration. Mechanical (screw-type) lugs clamp the conductor without specialist tools, making them popular for field repairs and lower-current applications.
Choosing the Right Lug Size
Match the lug's conductor barrel to your cable's cross-section (mm²) and the bolt hole to the stud diameter on your terminal block or busbar. Using an undersized lug increases contact resistance and heat. Browse our full Connectors & Terminals range to compare options.
Materials and Plating
Most lugs are made from electrolytic copper, often tin-plated to prevent oxidation. For aluminium conductors, use dedicated aluminium or bi-metallic lugs to avoid galvanic corrosion at the joint.
Complementary Terminal Products
Cable lugs pair well with Ring Terminals for panel connections and Spade Terminals for quick-disconnect setups. Explore the broader Power & Cables department for cables and accessories. Every purchase is protected by Lynk Buyer Protection and ships free across Greece on orders over €80.
