The Techly IDATA EXT-EF2000AV4 is a long-range HDMI extender that uses singlemode optical fiber to carry 1080p video, audio and IR control up to 40 kilometres. It is intended for security monitoring, hospital and commercial display installations where copper distances are not enough.

A local loop-out keeps a monitor next to the source, while the IR passback channel lets the operator control the source from the remote side using its original remote control.
