Power & Alarm Cables – Multi-Conductor, Coaxial & Low-Voltage for Security Systems

Whether you are wiring a new alarm system, extending a CCTV installation or supplying power to low-voltage devices, the quality of the cable makes the difference between a reliable system and a fault-prone one. Browse our carefully selected range of power and alarm cables — covering multi-conductor security wire, coaxial runs and low-voltage power feeds — so you can pick exactly the right spec for every part of your installation.

Alarm & Security System Cables

Multi-conductor alarm cables are the backbone of any wired burglar-alarm installation. 4-conductor and 6-conductor cables in 22 AWG are the most common choice for door and window sensors, PIR detectors and keypad runs, thanks to their low-current draw and easy routing through wall conduit. For the control panel itself, a 6-to-10-conductor shielded cable provides the multiple connections a modern panel requires while keeping interference low.

Coaxial & CCTV Power Cables

Analogue CCTV cameras typically use RG59 Siamese cable — a coaxial video conductor paired with an 18 AWG power pair in a single jacket — allowing one cable run to carry both signal and DC power from a central supply. RG6 coaxial offers a thicker centre conductor and better high-frequency performance for longer runs or HD-over-coax (HD-TVI, AHD) cameras. IP cameras on Cat5e or Cat6 can take advantage of PoE, eliminating the separate power pair entirely.

Low-Voltage Power Cables

Low-voltage power cables in 18 AWG and 22 AWG supply alarm panels, sirens, access-control readers and other security peripherals from a central transformer or UPS. UV-resistant outdoor variants maintain flexibility and insulation integrity even after years of sun exposure on external runs. Always match the cable gauge to the load current and cable length to stay within the voltage-drop limits specified by the device manufacturer.
