Description
The Marmitek MegaView 76 provides a simple way to extend an HDMI or DVI signal from a PC or other source over a single CAT5e/6 networking cable, without compression. It supports 1080p Full HD and 3D resolutions at up to 60 metres on CAT6 (50 metres on CAT5/5e). The transmitter includes a built-in splitter so you can keep a screen connected locally while a second TV or projector receives the extended signal.
The KVM function allows a keyboard and mouse connected to the receiver to control the PC at the transmitter end, enabling remote desktop operation across the building. Power over Cable technology means the receiver near the second display does not need a separate power outlet. The 5 VDC / 2A power supply connects to the transmitter only.
Key Features
- Extends HDMI over a single CAT5e/6 cable: max. 50 m on CAT5/5e, max. 60 m on CAT6 — both at 1080p
- Supports Full HD 1080p@60Hz and all 3D formats without compression
- HDMI 1.3 with EDID, DVI and all 3D formats; HDCP 1.4
- KVM function: keyboard and mouse at the receiver control the PC at the transmitter (USB-A at both ends)
- Transmitter has built-in splitter — local display and remote display operate simultaneously
- Power over Cable (PoC) — receiver requires no power outlet
- Colour formats: RGB 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2; colour depth: max. 30-bit
Product Benefits
- The built-in splitter means your existing monitor at the PC remains active while the extended signal feeds a second screen — no separate HDMI splitter required
- KVM support eliminates the need for a long USB cable or separate KVM switch — keyboard and mouse at the remote location directly control the PC
- CAT5e/6 cable is far cheaper and more flexible than a long HDMI cable, making 60-metre HD runs straightforward and cost-effective
- PoC keeps the receiver installation clean — only an HDMI output and a CAT6 cable are needed at the remote display location
- 10.2 Gbps video bandwidth and uncompressed data transfer preserve Full HD picture quality across the full cable length
