Description
The Johansson 4524 is a TAP-type coaxial distribution component with 1 input and 2 tap outputs. At 30 dB insertion loss and 30 dB port isolation, it delivers the deepest tap value in the Johansson two-output TAP family, making it the right choice for the lowest-signal positions at the very end of a long distribution cascade.
DC pass capability allows supply voltage to travel through the coaxial cable, enabling direct powering of active antenna elements such as masthead amplifiers or LNBs on the same line. The 4524 is supplied in bulk packaging of 50 units, suited for installation projects and resellers.
Key Features
- TAP configuration: 1 input, 2 outputs
- Frequency range: 5–2300 MHz, covering terrestrial, satellite, and DOCSIS bands
- DC pass on the input port
- Insertion loss: 30 dB
- Isolation between output ports: 30 dB
- Return loss on input and output: 10 dB
- Sold in bulk packaging of 50 units
Product Benefits
- 30 dB insertion loss, the maximum in the Johansson 452x series, handles the deepest cascade positions where residual signal levels are at their lowest
- Equal 30 dB isolation and insertion loss values provide balanced, predictable performance at extreme cascade depths
- Two outputs serve a dual-subscriber end position from a single component, eliminating the need for a separate downstream splitter
- Bulk 50-unit packaging lowers per-unit cost for large installations and distribution projects

Why You'll Love It
- Completes the Johansson 452x dual-output TAP series with a 30 dB option, providing the full range from 10 to 30 dB for complete cascade budget design
- Bulk packaging of 50 units makes it practical for contractors and installers working on multi-dwelling or CATV distribution projects
- DC pass is retained even at the deepest tap value, keeping active antenna components powered throughout the cascade
- Consistent 5–2300 MHz bandwidth across the entire Johansson TAP range simplifies system planning and component stocking
