The GBC S600 is an offline UPS that combines an AVR voltage stabiliser with battery backup in a metal cabinet. It supplies regulated, filtered power during normal operation and switches to battery within 2–6 ms when mains power fails, giving users time to save work and shut down equipment safely.

The unit is suited for sensitive electronics such as computers, monitors, modems, and televisions. It is not suitable for printers. With a modified sinusoidal output waveform and two Schuko output sockets, it provides immediate backup to a small home or office setup without requiring PC management software.
