Description
The Fuba OAE 905 is a Quattro termination unit intended for use at the end of a fibre-optic satellite distribution system. It receives the optical signal from an optical LNB (such as the Fuba OLB900) and converts it back to the original satellite and terrestrial broadcast frequencies — satellite IF, DVB-T, DAB, and FM — so that a connected multiswitch can distribute them via standard coaxial cables to individual receivers.
The unit has five outputs: four satellite IF outputs and one terrestrial output. It accepts power from either a connected receiver or an external power supply (10–20V), and the optical input connection is FC/PC.
Key Features
- Quattro termination unit for fibre-optic satellite distribution systems
- 5 outputs: 4× SAT IF + 1× terrestrial
- Converts optical signal back to satellite IF and terrestrial frequencies (FM, DAB, DVB-T)
- Optical input connection: FC/PC
- Powered via receiver or external power supply (10–20V)
- Designed to feed a multiswitch
Product Benefits
- Bridges an optical distribution segment to a standard coaxial multiswitch without specialist equipment at each receiver
- Restores FM, DAB, and DVB-T terrestrial signals alongside the four satellite levels
- Can draw power from a connected receiver, reducing the need for a separate power outlet
- FC/PC optical input is a standard connector compatible with fibre-optic patch cables
Technical Specifications
- Product type: Quattro optical termination unit
- Outputs: 5 (4× SAT, 1× terrestrial)
- Terrestrial output frequency range: FM 88–108 MHz, DAB 174–240 MHz, DTT 470–862 MHz
- Maximum terrestrial output signal level: approximately 68 dBμV
- Satellite frequency range: 950–5450 MHz
- Output power: +70 dBmW
- Power supply: 10–20V via receiver or external power supply
- Optical input connection: FC/PC
Why You'll Love It
- Enables a fibre-optic satellite backbone to connect to any standard coaxial multiswitch infrastructure
- Single unit provides all four satellite polarisation/band levels plus the terrestrial signal
- Power-from-receiver option keeps cabling tidy where a separate power socket is not available
- Standard FC/PC connection simplifies integration with existing fibre-optic installations
