The Courbi junction box is moulded from a durable polymer material that is non-corrosive, resistant to impact and pressure, UV-protected, flame-retardant, and self-extinguishing. It is designed for use in both indoor and outdoor residential and industrial electrical installations.

The side caps feature a special design for easy cutting and installation of conduits and cables, and the box is compatible with Courbi's own conduit systems. It meets IEC 60670-1/2002 and carries a glow wire test rating of 650°C.
