The Hensel DK1600G is designed to protect electrical and non-electrical connections in demanding environments. It is moulded from polycarbonate (PC) and achieves an IP66 degree of protection. Integrated rubber membranes accept spiral cable entry when removed, with a sealing width of 17.0–30.0mm, and twin M32 cable inlets are positioned at the rear.

The box includes a cover retaining strap and external wall-mounting brackets. Open membrane positions can be sealed using EDK grommets (not included). Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V a.c./d.c., and the unit meets IEC 60670-22. It is certified to VDE, RoHS Directive 2015/863/EU, and REACH regulation 1907/2008/EG.
