The Techly IDATA HDMI-WL88MR is the receiver (RX) unit for a wireless HDMI extension system. It receives up to 1080p Full HD video wirelessly over 5.8 GHz from a compatible transmitter (model IDATA HDMI-WL88M, sold separately). The 50-metre range is rated for open spaces; walls and windows will reduce effective coverage. A minimum distance of 5 metres between units is recommended.

Beyond point-to-point delivery, the system supports one-to-many (1 TX to 2 RX) and multiple-to-many configurations (2 TX to 2 RX or 2 TX to 1 RX). IR pass-back at 20–60 KHz allows remote control of source devices from the receiver side. Channel assignment is managed with the two front-panel buttons or the included IR controller.
