Collection: Car Headlight Bulbs (Halogen H1/H4/H7/H11)

Check your owner's manual, read the marking printed on the old bulb's base, or use an online fitment guide by make and model. H1, H4, H7 and H11 have different bases and are not interchangeable.

H4 is a dual-filament bulb that handles both low and high beam in a single unit, while H7 is a single-filament bulb used for one beam. They have different bases, so your headlight is designed for one type.

It is usually wise. Bulbs dim with age, so replacing both keeps brightness even and saves you a second swap soon after. Matched pairs give a balanced beam left and right.

Oils from your skin can create hot spots on the glass that shorten the bulb's life. Hold it by the base, and if you touch the glass, wipe it clean before fitting.

Many bulbs swap by hand, but some cars need a screwdriver or a little disassembly to reach the housing. A basic kit from Tools covers most jobs. Check your manual for the procedure.
