Lumens measure actual brightness, while watts measured power on old bulbs. As a rough guide, about 800 lumens matches a 60W incandescent and around 1500 lumens matches a 100W bulb. Choose by lumens for the brightness you want.

No. Only bulbs marked dimmable work on a dimmer, and even then they should be paired with a compatible LED dimmer to avoid flicker or buzzing. Check the product details before buying for a dimmed circuit.

LED bulbs typically last many times longer than halogen or incandescent lamps, with rated lifetimes often quoted in tens of thousands of hours. Actual life depends on heat, usage and quality, so check the rated lifetime on each product.
