Magnetic bases are best for temporary use and quick removal, bolt-down mounts suit permanent fitting, and DIN pole mounts raise the beacon for better visibility. Choose based on how often you'll move it.

Rotating beacons sweep a beam around like a classic lamp, while LED flash and strobe types pulse to grab attention. LED versions are brighter for their power use and have no moving parts to wear out.

Amber is the usual colour for work, hazard and slow-moving vehicles. Other colours are restricted to specific authorised uses, so always follow local road rules for your vehicle type.

Most outdoor beacons carry an IP rating for dust and water resistance suitable for roof mounting. Check the IP rating in the product details to ensure it suits your conditions.
