The PELC PT414-8 pin controls the level of conductive liquids in tanks and wells. It connects to three pendant-type electrodes and operates by measuring the resistance of the liquid between them. The relay activates when the liquid reaches the upper electrode and deactivates when the level drops below the middle electrode.

The lowest electrode acts as a reference and can be replaced by earth when the tank is metallic. Safe low AC voltage between the electrodes prevents electrolysis. An 8-pin socket base (code 525086) is required for installation and is sold separately.
