Marmitek BoomBoom 460 Bluetooth aptX Receiver – 2×20 W Digital Amplifier & 3.5 mm Aux In

The Marmitek BoomBoom 460 combines a Bluetooth 3.0 receiver with a digital power amplifier delivering 2×20 W RMS. The advanced digital amplification technology provides the audio quality of analogue amplifiers with a dynamic range of 95 dBA, a channel separation of 77 dB, and total harmonic distortion of just 0.04% at 20 W. Power efficiency reaches 90%, while idle power consumption stays below 2 W.

Bluetooth connectivity supports the aptX codec for lossless-quality stereo audio over wireless, alongside SBC. An external omnidirectional antenna with 2 dBi gain and 50 Ohm port impedance is included. A 3.5 mm auxiliary input also allows non-Bluetooth sources such as PCs and MP3 players to connect. The solid aluminium casing houses everything in a compact form factor. The package includes the amplifier unit, a power adapter (12 V / 4000 mA), a power cord, a 3.5 mm Male-to-Male audio cable, the antenna, and an instruction manual.

Key Features

• Bluetooth 3.0 with aptX and SBC codec support (A2DP profile)
• Built-in digital amplifier: 2×20 W RMS output
• Range: up to 10 m (Class 2 source); up to 30 m (Class 1 source)
• 3.5 mm auxiliary input for non-Bluetooth sources
• External omnidirectional antenna with 2 dBi gain and 50 Ohm impedance
• Solid aluminium casing
• Power supply: 100–240 VAC (included adapter: 12 V / 4000 mA)

Product Benefits

• aptX codec delivers 4:1 compression with up to 352 kbps data rate, 10 Hz–22 kHz frequency response, and less than 1.89 ms algorithmic delay — maintaining CD-quality sound over Bluetooth
• 2×20 W digital output is sufficient to drive passive speakers in a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, or outdoor setup
• Reusing existing passive speakers avoids the cost of replacing them with active Bluetooth speakers
• 90% power efficiency and under 2 W idle consumption keep running costs low
• The auxiliary input covers devices without Bluetooth, including desktop PCs and older MP3 players
