Johansson 9653 Wideband SAT Line Amplifier – 40-2400 MHz, 20 dB Gain & DC Pass-Through

The Johansson 9653 is a wideband line amplifier designed for satellite signal distribution systems. It compensates for coaxial cable attenuation across the full SAT frequency range, from terrestrial frequencies up to 2400 MHz.

With gain figures rising from 5 dB at 40 MHz to 20 dB at 2150–2340 MHz, the 9653 is well suited to longer cable runs where high-frequency signals suffer the most loss. DC power pass allows it to be inserted inline without interrupting LNB powering.

Key Features

• Wideband frequency coverage from 40 to 2400 MHz
• Variable gain profile: higher amplification at higher frequencies to counteract cable roll-off
• DC power pass up to 500 mA for transparent LNB supply
• Powered via the coaxial line at 13–18 V / 60 mA
• Compact inline form factor

Product Benefits

• Restores signal levels lost over long coaxial cable runs
• Frequency-dependent gain matches the loss profile of coaxial cable, delivering a flat signal at the receiver
• DC pass-through keeps the LNB powered without adding extra cabling
• Low current draw (60 mA) allows powering directly from the satellite receiver
• Small dimensions make it easy to install in confined spaces or wall boxes
