Marmitek MegaView 91 HDMI Extender – 120 m over CAT6, LAN Multi-Receiver & IR Return

The Marmitek MegaView 91 is an HDMI extender that carries high-definition video and audio over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable, supporting distances of up to 100 m on CAT5e and up to 120 m on CAT6 at 1080p. Unlike simpler extenders, the MegaView 91 can also operate over an existing home network (LAN), including routers and network switches, allowing multiple receivers to be connected simultaneously to the same network.

A built-in HDMI loop-through output on the transmitter lets you watch the same content locally on a primary display while the receiver feeds a secondary screen or projector. The infrared return function allows the source device to be controlled from the receiver location using the original remote control.

Key Features

• HDMI extension over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable, or through an existing home network (LAN)
• Maximum cable length: 100 m @ 1080p on CAT5e; 120 m @ 1080p on CAT6
• Built-in HDMI loop-through (HDMI OUT) on the transmitter for simultaneous local viewing
• Multiple receivers can connect simultaneously to the same LAN
• Infrared return with 3.5 mm jack IR receiver cable (100 cm), frequency range 30–60 kHz, reception range ±6 metres
• Data transmission via TCP/IP with H.264 compression

Product Benefits

• Works over an existing home network — no dedicated cable run required where LAN infrastructure is already in place
• The HDMI loop-through on the transmitter means the room with the source device continues to receive the signal without any extra splitter
• Multiple receivers on the same network allow distribution to several rooms from a single source
• Infrared passback lets users control the source from the remote viewing location using their own remote
• Wide power supply range (100–240 VAC) suits any European or international mains socket
