GU10 bulbs run directly on mains voltage, so the housing needs no transformer. MR16 bulbs are low-voltage and usually require a transformer. GU10 is simpler for most homes; choose based on the bulbs you plan to use from our LED Bulbs.

Each housing lists a required ceiling cut-out diameter. Measure your existing hole or check the product spec before cutting a new one so the bezel covers the edge and the spring clips grip firmly. The wrong size is a common fitment problem.

Fixed housings point straight down for general lighting, while tilt or gimbal housings let you angle the beam to wash a wall or highlight features such as artwork. Choose tilt where you want directional accent lighting.
