Flickering often means an aging tube, a worn starter or a failing ballast. Replacing the tube usually helps; if it continues, the starter or ballast may need attention. Find related parts in Power & Cables.

The lamp itself needs a suitable sealed fixture for damp or dusty spaces. Look for an appropriately IP-rated fitting in T8 LED Tube Fixtures for basements or garages.

Fluorescent lamps contain small amounts of mercury and should be taken to a recycling or hazardous-waste collection point, not put in household waste. Switching to LED Tubes avoids this for future replacements.
