The Marmitek IR Control 10 is a professional infrared remote control extender that allows operation of up to 4 AV devices — expandable to 8 with an optional additional emitter set — even when those devices are hidden inside closed furniture or placed out of direct line of sight. The compact IR receiver is the only component that needs to remain visible; the main module and extension cables can be completely concealed.

The system works by placing a small IR receiver in view of the remote control. When you press a button, the receiver sends the signal to the IR module, which re-emits it through IR extension cables with emitter LEDs placed directly on the IR eye of each device. The module input can be extended up to 300 metres using CAT5 cable. Advanced filtering makes the set immune to interference from flat panel TVs and indirect sunlight, and it is compatible with modern IR code formats including RC-MM used in many HD and digital devices.
