The Antiference AVR 5.8GHz is a dedicated expansion receiver for the Antiference AVWS 5.8GHz wireless A/V transmission system. By adding this receiver to an existing AVWS installation, you can broadcast the picture, sound, and remote control signals from a single AV source — such as a decoder or DVD player — to an additional television in another room, without any new cabling between the rooms.

The receiver operates in the 5.725–5.875 GHz band and supports 8 selectable PLL channels using wideband FM modulation. It includes a built-in IR remote control extender that re-transmits remote control commands at 433.92 MHz (ASK modulation) back to the source device, so you can operate the original equipment from the remote room. The included IR extender cable connects to the receiver to pick up commands locally. The receiver requires a 9V DC 600 mA power supply (adapter included, but a UK-to-European plug adapter is needed).
