Gain measures how much light a screen reflects back compared to a standard matte white surface (gain 1.0). In a dark, controlled room a gain of 1.0–1.1 produces the most accurate colours. If your room has ambient light you can't fully control, a higher gain (1.3–1.8) boosts brightness at the cost of narrower viewing angles. Use a ceiling mount bracket rated for your projector's weight. Most mounts attach to a ceiling joist or a solid wooden batten fixed between joists. Adjust the mount's horizontal and vertical position to centre the image on your screen, then use the projector's keystone correction to fine-tune alignment.
