Look at the back of your monitor for four threaded holes in a square pattern, usually 75x75mm or 100x100mm apart. That is the VESA standard nearly every monitor arm uses. If your screen has no VESA holes, you will need a VESA adapter plate or a stand designed to grip the existing base.

A clamp mount grips the rear edge of your desk and needs no drilling, making it easy to move. A grommet mount passes through a pre-drilled hole in the desk for a sturdier, more permanent install. Measure your desk thickness first so the chosen monitor stand fits securely.

Each arm lists a supported weight range, so always check both the minimum and maximum load against your monitor's spec. Going under the minimum can make a gas-spring arm drift upward, while exceeding the maximum risks sagging. Pair it with a tidy docking setup for cleaner cabling.

No, a single arm is built for one screen. For two displays choose a dual monitor arm, which holds both from one base and lets you align them side by side. Check that the combined weight and screen sizes fall within the dual arm's rated limits before ordering.

They can help a lot. Raising the top of your screen to roughly eye level keeps your head upright and reduces neck and shoulder strain during long sessions. The adjustable height, tilt and swivel let you fine-tune the angle to your own seating position.

Many do, but ultrawide and curved screens are heavier and wider, so confirm the arm supports the screen size, weight and VESA pattern of your specific model. A sturdier single arm or a freestanding stand is usually the safest choice for these displays.
