The number is the screw diameter in millimetres: E27 is the larger standard base and E14 is the smaller candle/SES base. They are not interchangeable, so match the holder to your bulb base.

Use ceramic where heat is higher: halogen lamps, high-wattage bulbs, enclosed fittings and outdoor use. Plastic holders are fine for cool-running LED at normal wattage.

It is the maximum current the holder can safely carry. Make sure your bulb's load stays under it, and respect the temperature limit too, especially in enclosed fittings where heat builds up.
