Industrial Plug Adapters – CEE 16A/32A, IP44/IP67, Single & Three-Phase
Industrial plug adapters are the essential link between different CEE socket standards, letting you connect tools, machines and temporary power supplies without rewiring. Browse our carefully selected range covering the most common configurations — 16 A and 32 A, single-phase and three-phase, with IP44 splash-proof and IP67 submersion-rated options.
CEE Standards and Current Ratings
The IEC 60309 (CEE) standard defines colour-coded industrial connectors by voltage and phase: blue for 230 V single-phase, red for 400 V three-phase, and yellow for low-voltage 110 V site supply. A 16 A adapter suits most portable power tools and small compressors, while 32 A adapters handle heavier loads such as welding machines, large pumps and site distribution boards. Always match the adapter's current rating to the lowest-rated device in the circuit.
IP Ratings and Outdoor Use
IP44 connectors resist splashing water from any direction and are suitable for covered outdoor areas, workshops and temporary site installations. IP67 versions withstand continuous immersion up to 1 m and are the right choice for exposed outdoor locations and hire equipment. Never use an indoor-rated adapter outside — even brief exposure to rain can cause a dangerous fault.
Adapter Configurations
Common configurations include single-phase 2P+E to three-phase 3P+E adapters, inline adapters for extending or splitting feeds, and socket-to-plug converters for equipment with a different plug format. Check pin count, current rating, voltage colour and IP rating before selecting — an incompatible combination will not mate physically, an intentional safety feature of the CEE system.
