Johansson 4051 SC/APC Single-Mode Optical Patch Cord 10 m – Low-Loss Fiber Jumper

The Johansson 4051 is a 10-metre single-mode optical patch cord terminated with SC/APC connectors on both ends. It is designed for fiber-optic signal distribution systems where equipment is spaced further apart, providing a low-loss connection between transmitters, receivers, and splitters.

Despite its extended length, the 4051 maintains the same low insertion loss and high return loss as shorter patch cords in the Johansson range. Its rated durability of 500 matings supports reliable performance even in frequently reconfigured installations.

Key Features

• Cable length: 10 m
• Connector type: SC/APC on both ends
• Cable type: Single Mode
• Typical insertion loss below 0.2 dB; maximum below 0.3 dB
• Return loss greater than 60 dB
• Repeatability: less than 0.1 dB change per mating
• Rated for 500 mating cycles with typical durability change below 0.2 dB
• Tensile strength greater than 70 N
• Operating temperature range: -40 to +85 °C

Product Benefits

• 10 m length bridges greater distances between optical equipment without requiring additional couplers or splices
• SC/APC connectors reduce back-reflection, maintaining clean optical performance across the longer run
• Low insertion loss (typical <0.2 dB) preserves signal levels despite the extended cable length
• High return loss (>60 dB) keeps reflected light from interfering with connected equipment
• Wide operating temperature range (-40 to +85 °C) permits installation in outdoor enclosures and uncontrolled environments
